9 New Products at Costco in August

Must read

Costco shoppers get used to seeking out their old favorites — a juicy rotisserie chicken, a pallet of paper towels, enough coffee to fuel an entire dorm. But because the warehouse club’s selection is so huge, it’s easy to forget that Costco adds new products all the time.

There’s no reason to skip over the classic Costco items, but why not scoop up something new? Here’s a look at some of the items that are new to Costco in August 2023.

They are all available now unless otherwise noted, although some products are sold only online or only in warehouses.

Story within a story

Acclaimed author Ann Patchett’s newest book, “Tom Lake,” tells two stories. Family members reunite at their Michigan cherry orchard during the COVID-19 pandemic, and while there, beg their mother to tell of how she once dated an Oscar-winning actor. The New York Times calls it “a quiet and reassuring book,” perfect for the winding-down days of summer. It’s now available in most Costco warehouses.

Knife block set

This stylish wood block stores 10 Cangshan Rainier knives, including a paring knife, a chef’s knife and four matching steak knives, all made of high-alloy German steel. It also includes a honing steel and a pair of kitchen shears. Choose from black or white handles to complement the look of your kitchen.

If you need a bigger set, a 15-piece Henckels knife block set is also newly available.

Robot vacuum/mop

Put the robots to work helping us out. This all-in-one Ecovacs DEEBOT TEO+ robot vacuum and mop features advanced 3D scanning to detect and avoid obstacles for disruption-free cleaning. Its large battery enables it to clean for up to 175 minutes, and the auto-empty station automatically empties the dustbin.

A NEO+ model also is available.

7 For All Mankind jeans

The celebrated 7 For All Mankind jeans brand has made its way to Costco. Pick up a pair of these women’s ankle-length, skinny-fit black jeans that feature figure-sculpting stretch denim. Note that they come in European sizes, so a 26 translates as a U.S. size 2, and a 32 is a U.S. size 14.

Deal alert: If you happen to be planning to buy multiple articles of clothing or pairs of shoes from Costco in the near future, consider buying them online. Currently, if you buy five to nine qualifying apparel or footwear items from Costco.com, you will save an additional $20. Buy 10 or more such items and save an extra $50.

Down-alternative pillows

You spend about a third of your life sleeping, so make that time comfortable. These organic cotton down-alternative pillows give a medium/firm support level and accommodate most sleep positions. They come in a two-pack, and include 220-thread-count organic cotton covers. Choose from jumbo or king size.

Flashlights

If you’re in need of a new flashlight or three, Costco has multiple new options for you to pick from:

Pikmin 4 game for the Nintendo Switch

Animal Crossing is great, but maybe you need a new game for you, your child’s or your grandchild’s handheld Nintendo Switch video-game console. Try Pikmin 4, a family-friendly game for ages 10 and up. With the help of your dog, Oatchi, you guide the pint-sized Pikmin creatures through a thrilling mission on a mysterious planet.

Witch costume

Summer is still here, but it’ll be Halloween before you can say “boo!” The little trick-or-treater in your life might want to dress up as a spooky but stylish witch, in this green and purple costume.

The dress features long ruffled sleeves, an attached sheer cape and spiderweb skirt. It also comes with a conical witch hat with satin band and, of course, a broom.

Insulated mug set

Raise a toast to the end of summer with this insulated mug set. It includes two dishwasher-safe double-wall stainless steel mugs in your choice of a blue and white or black and red set. They include splash-proof, slide-to-close lids and easy-grip handles.
