Aaron Rodgers led the Packers to a 45-30 win over the Bears on “Sunday Night Football”, but one of the lasting images from the game wasn’t related to his on-field play. It was instead a side-by-side of himself and a lookalike that the “SNF” broadcast happened to find in the crowd.

The fan in question appeared in the fourth quarter of the Packers’ win. His striking similarities to Rodgers amazed NBC’s broadcast duo of Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth with Michaels noting that the fan fit “the definition of doppelganger” to a tee.

This was certainly an amazing find by the NBC camera crew. Or. . . was it? Rodgers joked that he wasn’t so sure it was an accident during his weekly appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show.”

“Total plant,” Rodgers deadpanned.” “That was a total plant by NBC, I’m sure.”

Rodgers had also quipped that he sent an “astral projection” of himself with a “filled-in beard” into the stands earlier in the show. However, his joke of choice was his conspiracy theory about the plant. Notably, he pointed out that the fan just happened to spot the camera while he was on screen.

“The thing though that makes me think he might have been a plant is, doesn’t he turn to the camera and acknowledges the camera?” Rodgers joked. “Has he got his SAG (Screen Actors Guild) card?”

Rodgers will have to ask the man himself to confirm that theory. It appears that man may be Twitter user @SherbyFrank, who posted the following tweet on Tuesday morning.

The doppelganger’s identity hasn’t yet been confirmed, but that appears to be the biggest lead on his possible identity at this time.

Rodgers noted that he wasn’t the only doppelganger spotted across the NFL during Week 14 action. He mentioned that NFL fans identified that Texans punter Cameron Johnston looks almost exactly the same as comedian Bill Burr.

“I saw that one,” Rodgers said of the Johnston-Burr comparisons. “That one was a dead-on one too.”
